本工作坊源於國立政治大學華人文化主體性研究中心在2020年8月至2021年6月期間舉辦的讀書會，該讀書會團聚焦香港哲學家許煜的著作 The Question Concerning Technology in China. An Essay in Cosmotechnics (2016) 以及其它中國技術哲學的相關文本。工作坊包括七篇圍繞許煜研究的論文以及來自許煜的回應。
